About Dr. CHANG-LeMone
Dr. Christina Chang-LeMone initially chose a career in dentistry because she loves science and technology. To her, the field both fits her desire to help patients and allows her to practice in an autonomous and intimate setting in which her personality thrives.
After receiving her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, she pursued her doctorate in dentistry from the State University of New York at Buffalo. When she returned to the much milder climate of San Francisco, a perfect opportunity arose to start her small private practice in the wonderful, family friendly neighborhood of Laurel Heights. She has been providing patients with kind, gentle, and high quality dental care ever since—with remarkable results.
A small practice is ideal for Dr. Chang-LeMone to interact with patients on a one-to-one basis and delivering personalized care. She approaches dentistry holistically, which means treating the entire patient and not just his or her teeth. She is also a strong advocate for prevention and much prefers to help patients maintain their pretty smiles than treat mouths ravaged by gum disease and tooth decay.
In an effort to provide the latest techniques available, Dr. Chang-LeMone is a firm believer in pursuing continuing medical education. She devotes a significant amount of time every year to taking courses and attending annual conferences. She is a member of several dental associations including the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and San Francisco Dental Society.
I treat each patient as a whole person, so the term one-size-fits-all is not in my vocabulary.
Dr. Chang-LeMone believes that finding a balance in life makes her a better dentist. She loves to attend various cultural events, concerts, and baseball and basketball games, as well as watch movies. She considers herself a foodie and as such, likes to dine out at a wide range of regional and foreign restaurants and then recreate these delectable dishes at home. She loves technology, so if she had more time, she would invent gadgets that improve people’s lives. On a warm, sunny weekend, you might find her enjoying an entire day at the beach with her family.
